Garry is a Director at McClarrons Sport Limited, having worked at McClarrons in a number of roles since 2008. By dealing with clients and managing partner and insurer relationships, Garry has developed an in-depth and rounded knowledge of the insurance sector. Garry has also been involved in the development of specialist schemes & DUA’s for the commercial, rural and high-net-worth sectors.
Outside of work, Garry enjoys nothing more than being on the golf course; he also spends time watching rugby and going to the gym.
Most memorable sporting moment
Europe’s comeback victory on the final day of play – from 10-6 down to win 14 ½ – 13 ½ at the Ryder Cup in 2012.

Ben Pickles
Head of Sales & Development - Accident, Health, Sports & Contingency
Ben supports McClarrons Sport in the development of sales, opportunities and introducers, and oversees insurer relations for the company. Having previously worked as an underwriter at a leading UK insurer, Ben has worked in insurance for over 9 years, spending over 5 years at McClarrons as Head of Art and Private Clients. With a sports background, Ben was one of the founding coaches at the City of Leeds Basketball Club (previously Leeds Carnegie), where he coached junior basketball including Junior National League, West Yorkshire and Yorkshire Boys, and assisted with England U15’s.
When he’s not working, Ben is a keen golfer, having represented Fulford Golf Club at the Yorkshire Amateur Championships in 2021. He also plays and coaches basketball for the York Eagles, and enjoys watching football – supporting Aston Villa FC, through thick and thin.

Nathan Gregson
Director - Accident, Health, Sports & Contingency
Nathan Heads up McClarrons Sport working with both existing and new clients and liaises with our chosen underwriters to obtain terms and build bespoke insurance policies for each case. Nathan has worked in the sports and sports risk industry for close to 20 years since graduating from St. Andrews University working at the likes of Betfair, Opta Sports and founded and continues manage Siepe Sports Group a specialist Sports Risk Management business in 2015.
Nathan is a keen golfer and harbours an interest in a wide range of sports from horse racing to motorsport.
Most memorable sporting moment
Ashes 2010/11 Adelaide test, England winning before the heavens opened and going on to win the urn down under.
